The wine is powerfully ripe yet balanced.  Tannins are abundant, and are complemented by layers of fruit.  There is no question that this is a great vintage for red, white and sweet white wines alike. It was a perfect growing season, warm and dry throughout the region.  Lacking the extreme heat of 2003, the warmth of 2005 allowed the grapes to achieve excellent ripeness.  Beautifully packaged in a wooden six pack.
