-- Yorkville Cellars Sauvignon Blanc 2007, Mendocino
Yorkville Cellars' approach is novel: they grow and make only bordeaux varietal wines. They have farmed organically from the outset in 1986 and have been the most awarded using certified organic grapes. Yorkville Highlands Appellation is an area known for producing wines that combine "old world" balanced acidity and minerality with "new world" ripeness and forward fruit, making it one of California's most exciting viticultural areas. This 15th vintage comes from a vineyard called “Randle Hill.” This vineyard has consistently produced one of the best S.B.’s around and we’re very proud of it. Great aromas of lemon drop or sweet lime with a hint of floral and tropical. We find flavors of kiwi, tangerine, and granny smith apples. A typical Yorkville, long finish with lime zest and minerals.
