-- Traditional Tawny Port, drinks like a 10 or 20 year for a fraction of the price
The Port firm was established in 1850 by Manoel de Rocha Romariz, who came from a well known Oporto family. Initially, the business was established with Portugal's main trading partners, Brazil and England. It was purchased by Fonsecca in 1966 and used as a grape source since they own two beautiful quintas in prime locations of the Douro. In 1987 a partnership of Fonsecca, Taylor and Romariz was established. The viticulturists for Fonsecca grow the grapes and Taylor vinifies and bottles the wines. A carefully selected blend of seven to nine year old Tawny Ports are used for "Reserva Latina". The port was created for the Tawny loving Brazilian markets, Reserve of the Latin hence the name "Reserva Latina". This tawny port makes an ideal after dinner offering and a lovely companion to coffee and sweets. Nutty, raisin character, great length and finesse.
